Terms and Conditions

Check in is between 4 and 8pm.  Check out 11am.  Other times are available by arrangement.   Baggage storage is available with early check in or late departures.

All cabins have a two day minimum. Double rooms, Queen rooms and Efficiencies have a two day minimum on the weekends and holidays. 

Weekly rentals are Friday-Friday. No Saturday Check outs.

Parking is limited, so only one car per room.   We highly recommend you leave your car on the mainland.  Once on the island you can take a taxi ($3 anywhere on the island) or rent a golf cart.  Bicycles and golf carts are readily available for easy travel.

Guest rooms and facilities are ONLY for the registered guests.  Sorry, but unregistered guests will result in you being asked to leave.  PLEASE DO NOT LET UNREGISTERED GUESTS IN.

If you have MORE than the MAXIMUM amount of people that stay in your room, you will be CHARGED a $100 FEE PER PERSON, PER NIGHT

NO SMOKING anywhere inside the cottages or motel rooms. A $75 charge will occur if there is evidence of smoking. A smoking area is provided near your cottage/room.

There is an additional charge of $40 for each pet during your stay. Upon arrival, the pet owner must sign a waiver agreeing to pay for any damages caused or extra-cleaning needed due to the dog(s). Pet owner is responsible for their pet's behavior and any damages, injury or lost revenue caused by their pet. The pet must allow inn staff into the cottage.  Pets who are territorial and are aggressive to inn staff will not be allowed to stay. We expect that our guests will clean up after their pets both indoors & outdoors. Pets who cry, bark or whine when alone may not be left unattended. Of course, we ask that your pet NOT share your bed. If your dog is not well behaved or disturbs other guests by barking, the Bird's Nest Resort does have the right to ask the owners to kennel their dog or leave. No refunds will be offered.
 Any damage caused by the pet is the pet owner's responsibility.

Any damage to the room including, towels, bedding, excessive trash, wall damage, lock damage, door damage, bathroom damage will result in a minimum fine of $100.

Payment Policy

 Weekend or multiple day stays require a one night deposit at the time of booking. Single night stays require 100% payment at the time of booking. Payment in full at the time of check in. No Saturday Check outs. No refunds for early departures or no shows. If you have more than the maximum amount of people that stay in your room, you will be charges a $500 fee per person, per night.

Cancellation Policy

There will be no refunds for cancellations that occur within fourteen (14) days of arrival date.  No refunds for early departures or no shows.

Location Instructions

Welcome to Put-in-Bay, Ohio, a favorite vacation spot in Lake Erie.  Put-in-Bay is located on South Bass Island (the largest of the bass islands) off the northwest shore of Ohio.  It is approximately 65 miles from Cleveland and about 50 miles from Toledo.  South Bass Island is small, only 3.5 miles by 1.5 miles, and is 570 feet above sea level.  The climate provides an ideal environment to support a large wine industry.  The unique limestone coastline adds to the rugged beauty of the island, and is perfect for fishing, boating, or swimming.  The island is also popular for birding, with hundreds of migratory birds to see.

Put-In-Bay offers a refreshing escape from the treadmill pace of life.  It is reachable only by water or air.  For transportation to and from the island, visit the Miller Ferry web site at  www.millerferry.com or the Jet Express web site at  www.jet-express.com .

Bird's Nest Resort is located on1371 Langram Road about 1 mile from the downtown area. We are across from the Put-in-Bay Airport.
